The Ellsworth Fire Department is made up of dedicated volunteers who are ready to answer the call, day or night! From fire calls and car accidents to CO alarms and special rescues, we're there when it matters most.

We operate out of two stations (Ellsworth & Bay City/Red Wing Airport) and we serve a 270-square-mile area including the villages of Ellsworth, Bay City, Maiden Rock, and the townships of Ellsworth, Trimbelle, Trenton, Isabelle, Hartland, Salem, El Paso, Martell, and Diamond Bluff.

We also provide fire prevention services to Ellsworth Elementary and conduct fire inspections throughout our service area.

And live with in 8 miles of either of the Ellsworth or Bay City Station (or work close to either station and be able to respond to day time calls.
Membership is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history and driving record reviews
To maintain active membership you are required to make 25% of the calls. We average about 150 calls per year.
1 Meeting and Maintenance evening per month
1 Training evening per month will be offered 12 hours per year required
Training and Maintenance can be made up if unable to attend the regularly scheduled
Wisconsin State Firefighter 1 and Fire Fighter 2 training
Applications are due by the end of April and September
